Dr. K. P. Haridasan Foundation

Haridasan K.P was born in Edayur, Malappuram. He was the youngest of four children born to  K.P Kotha master and Neeli. He graduated in history from PSMO College, Thirurangadi and postgraduated from Calicut University Campus in 2004. He did his M.Ed and MPhil from the same campus and became a constant presence at the University campus for years. He joined for PhD under the supervision of Dr.P. Sivadasan on the topic "Urban Life and Malayali Identity in Popular Culture: Reading Cinema in Kerala, 1919 - 1957". Alongside academics, Haridasan was an active in student politics and was assigned various responsibilities of the researchers' organization. He was active  in leading the students' struggles and protests. He submitted his PhD thesis while serving as a guest faculty in the department of history.  Dr. Haridasan was in search for better placement in accedemics, when he met his untimely death on 15th october, 2020, at University Men's hostel.
